Special Occasion Cakes & Catering Orders Welcome

We make wedding cakes which are completely unique creations. After sitting down with prospective couples and conferring, we talk about childhood memories, favorite tastes, textures and colors for the feast's dessert. As the baker, I come up with suggestions for a cake or cakes. Our goal is to create a masterpiece that will please and make this most special of days become memories to last a lifetime together. The Alternative Baker (lemoncakes.com) is a traditional storefront bakery located in the town of Rosendale, in Ulster County, in the heart of the Hudson Valley in upstate New York. We specialize in lemon cakes (and lemon bundt cakes), which are widely renowned, as are all of our handmade traditional and alternative baked goods.
We also bake wedding cakes.
